The number TEN signifies the perfection of Divine order. This number implies nothing is wanting and the whole cycle is complete. The word “Rebuild” means to restrengthen, to rejuvenate, and to restore!
Gods Pit Crew has a Divine calling to assist in the restrengthening, rejuvenating, and the restoring of hope to those in need. In the rebuilding process, we strive to leave the recipient better than before, after all when God saves us, He not only restores us, He makes us better than before. With God’s help and direction, when God’s Pit Crew completes a job…it is truly complete!
The Call to Action
Crisis comes in many forms. Sometimes it comes in a form of a natural disaster, such as the earthquake in Haiti or the massive flooding in Nashville this year. Sometimes it is a medical crisis that leaves a person disabled and unable to provide for themselves. The crisis could also be that someone has given so much of themselves to help others that their own needs have gone unmet. In 2010 we have identified ten such needs and feel a call to meet them. A description of these projects and a proposed budget for each, is outlined below. Please consider donating to these causes today! If you would like to assist with these projects please visit our VOLUNTEER page.

THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN COMPLETED THANKS TO THE GENEROUS SUPPORT OF OUR FRIENDS AND PARTNERS
PROJECT 1
Project Jewel:
A year and half ago God’s Pit Crew and Little Life Pregnancy Center was blessed with a gift of a house on Bradford Street here in Danville, VA. Even though this house was in desperate need of substantial repairs inside and out, it was still a huge blessing to both organizations. The intent was to use volunteer help and donated materials to remodel this house and then sell it to bring in much needed income to both organizations. This past week those plans drastically changed after we heard the story of Jewel.

PROJECT 2
Project Hobby:
Adversity is no stranger to LanceHobby… After hours of intense labor Lance’s mother gave birth to a lifeless baby boy. The doctors immediately began working frantically to revive her child. Suddenly he began to breathe on his on and even though he was blind in one eye, she knew that her beautiful son, Lance, was going to be a special child and do great things! Lance suffered with severe asthma that nearly took his life when he was a teenager. Yet, nothing seemed to slow down his strong desire to help people. In 1998 Lance met a missionary, Ernie Miller. Little did Lance know that God was going to use this encounter to change the course of his life forever.

PROJECT 4
Project Haiti (seven homes):
The devastating earthquake that ripped through Haiti left this nation in shambles. Even though help has poured into this country from around the world, there is much left to do. Thousands are homeless, without food, water, and clothing. Randy Johnson, Founder and Director of God’s Pit Crew, visited this ravaged land to see devastating conditions first-hand.
With the help of a volunteer Board Member, Bruce Hughes with Hughes and Atkins Constructions, God’s Pit Crew plans to return to Haiti in November to build seven homes in Boutin, a small village outside of Port-Au-Prince. A playground for the children of this village will also be built if the materials are donated for the project.
Budget for Project Haiti (seven homes): $30,000
*Projected Dates* November 1st-13th
