Teams needed for the Golf Tournament
God's Pit Crew and Spirit FM working together has sent 225,000 pounds of water and cleaning supplies to the flooded areas of West Virginia. We would like to say "thank you" to everyone who has given supplies and monetary donations to help in this effort.
Blessings By The Bucketful
In May, God’s Pit Crew was invited to the Virginia Girls Jamboree as their special guest. Girls from throughout the state were invited to be a part of this fun filled day. Each group that came brought items with them to fill many of the blessing buckets that we give out to individuals in disaster areas. With much excitement the girls began filling the buckets and even writing letters to put in them as well. Once all the buckets were complete, they all gathered around them and began to pray over the buckets and the people that would eventually receive them. The girls donated enough items to make up 115 Blessing Buckets.

Tornado Season Strikes Again
God's Pit Crew left on Monday, April 13th heading towards Mena, Arkansas in response to the deadly EF-3 tornado that ripped through the community and destroyed over 300 hundred homes. Our volunteers will be helping in disaster cleanup, distribution of product and food, and anything else that is needed of them. Please be in prayer for the families in the tornado affected areas, and also for our disaster response team that is currently on the site.

Why do you do what you do?
The answer is simple; God has called us to reach out to those who are hurting. Whether it is cutting a tree off of someones home, patching a roof, distributing thousands of pounds of product to those in disaster affected areas and here at home, or just to be a shoulder to cry on or pray with during someone's time of tragedy.

God's Pit Crew recently traveled with Spirit FM on our Neighbor to Neighbor Campaign. Together we traveled all over the Spirit FM listening area and collected food and supplies that would be distributed back into those same areas to the local food banks and agencies. Over 40 tons of food and supplies were collected and then redistributed out. This campaign was a success thanks to the many people who came out and supported this event.
Helping Our Local Communities
God's Pit Crew is committed to helping locally. Already in 2009 we have distributed out over 2.5 million pounds of food and supplies with a wholesale value of $7 million dollars. All of this product has been donated to God's Pit Crew from major corporations and other charities. Every week this ministry gives out this product to over 164 local product recipient agencies in Danville, Pittsylvania County, Lynchburg, and the surrounding areas. Each one of these agencies arrive on a weekly basis and receive product that they will take back to their local area and distribute out. They are then able to reach the many needy families who come to them for help. With the loss of so many jobs and layoffs in the past year, these ministries are increasing double and sometimes triple the amount of families they are helping.
Although these numbers are high, it has been challenging to keep the funds to buy fuel to receive this product, pay the light bill on the warehouse that we work out of, and so many other expenses. We hope that you would consider giving a donation to help further the ministries of God's Pit Crew.
