1. Helping Our Local Communities
God's Pit Crew is committed to helping locally. In 2009 we distributed over 5 million pounds of food and supplies with a wholesale value of $8.8 million dollars to 178 local product recipient agencies. These organizations are located in Danville, Pittsylvania County, and surrounding regions of south side Virginia. So far in 2010 we have distributed almost 4 million pounds of product to our recipient agencies. These products have a wholesale value of almost $14 million dollars. These products have been donated to God's Pit Crew from major corporations and other charities. Agencies arrive on an ongoing basis and receive product that they will take back to their local areas for distribution. This enables them to reach the many needy families who come to them for help. With the loss of so many jobs and layoffs in the past year, these ministries are increasing double and sometimes triple the amount of families they are helping.
Although these numbers are high, it has been challenging to keep the funds to buy fuel to receive this product, pay the utilities for the warehouse that we work out of, and so many other expenses.

2. Nationwide Disaster Relief
Since 1999 we have responded to a total of 44 major disasters in 20 different states. We have delivered and helped to distribute over 10 million pounds of supplies in disaster areas. Our volunteers have cut thousands of trees off of peoples homes, gutted out houses, patched roofs, worked feeding kitchens that feed hot meals to as many as 10,000 people a day. They have prayed with people and gave them hope in their time of need. We stand ready for a Disaster with over 11 years of experience in Disaster Relief, over a million dollars in equipment and a volunteer list of more than three hundred people. 3. International Relief
For several years God's Pit Crew has partnered with other charitable organizations in sending relief to countries devastated by disasters. However, in 2010 we felt a calling to increase our level of impact on the needs of people in other countries. This has resulted in over 35 tractor trailer loads of supplies and life sustaining goods being delivered to Haiti after the January earthquake. After visiting South Africa in February , GPC Director Randy Johnson felt compelled to offer assistance to Compassion South Africa, an organization meeting the needs of many people in that area of Africa. As God directs us, we will continue to look for opportunities to share hope with those internationally who have experienced disaster or crisis.
4. Speaking Engagements
One of the greatest joys we have is to be allowed to share with others what God has done through this ministry. Our goal, when speaking, is to encourage others to get involved in the ministry of their home church. God has a plan for everyone and He can use anyone who has a willing heart to do great things for His Kingdom. The testimony we share about GOD'S PIT CREW is proof of that. No crowd is too big or too small, from Sunday school classes to Sunday Morning Service.
